A Wesley Nurse is a Registered Nurse who specializes in Faith Community Nursing.

There are a group of 90 nurses in South Texas, belonging to Methodist Healthcare Ministries (MHM) referred to as Wesley Nurses.   They provide care to uninsured and at-risk individuals and are knowledgeable in professional nursing and spiritual care.

St. Peter's Wesley Nurse is a Registered Nurse (R.N.) and has many years of experience in the fields of school nursing with a focus on special needs children, oncology nursing, and home health care. Her home health care experience in and around the Boston area led to her passion for community nursing.

As a Wesley Nurse in Flour Bluff, she provides holistic care - body, mind, and spirit -through education, health promotion, and facilitation of community resources. 

• She assists families in need of medical attention to find a medical home.

• She assists diabetic clients with education, support and supplies coupled with encouragement and prayer.

• She helps connect families to the community garden through a partnership of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.
